Slow. But. Steady.

So I am a little further along then I was last post. I know I still have a long way to go before next week but I work best under pressure :) I have a good idea of the layout I want to do now aesthetically. I want to keep it simple, sophisticated, yet creative at once so hopefully I can create this from my ideas. Working with GoLive is coming along slow, it does have some similarities to Photoshop but comparative to GoLive, Photoshop is a piece of cake. And I still have so much to learn about Photoshop because there is so much you can do with it so I bet the possibilities are unlimited with GoLive. I have been looking up online tutorials to help guide with the GoLive learning process, and it's helped some. I just have to keep working and having it come along. I do know I have to step it up a notch to have it completed by Wednesday :)

GoLive Journey

GoLive is definitely a program that is going to take me a very long time to learn. However, I can't wait till I know it because I think it can be very useful in the future. The DVD made everything look pretty easy but once I was off on my own it turned hard! This is going to take a lot of time to accomplish and produce something good enough to turn in. I think I am just going to lock myself up in the room for a day and force myself to really get a good feeling for the program.

I am not very familiar with Illustrator or InDesign, but I am becoming more acquainted with Photoshop. It's turned into something that I just don't use for class projects, but enjoy to do on my own. Another Adobe software I am very familiar with is Adobe Premier Pro (a video editing program). There are some similarities all across the Adobe family which makes it an ounce easier to understand such as various layouts. Once mastered, the Adobe products are enjoyable and can create some amazing things. GoLive is going to take time but I will hopefully be able to make a web page I am satisfied with.

Gliffy

I enjoyed using Gliffy and think the concept of the website is a great idea. When I was creating my site map, I decided to do mine a little different just because I could with the program. I liked the assortment of shapes and colors and the variety of things you could do with them. I also thought it was smart when you are connecting the shapes with lines it lets you directly connect it and highlights where you want to do the connection.

The workspace was a little small to word with, and again I don't think the website is anything fancy but it can be productive and that's what counts. Perhaps they could do a little more aesthetically speaking, but this is a great places to go for a quick graph or site map.

The site is very easy to use and pick up on, and the name is pretty catchy as well. I also liked how you could directly save work right on the web and not have to put it on your computer. This is one website I will remember for future projects.
